Labubu Doll Winter Care Guide | Keep Your Plush Friend Safe & Clean All Season

Labubu Doll Winter Care Guide | Keep Your Plush Friend Safe & Clean All Season

When the temperature drops, your Labubu deserves as much care as you do.

Neglecting winter care may cause fading, stiffness, or even surface cracking. But don’t worry, with a few mindful steps, your Labubu can stay soft, vibrant, and full of charm all the cold season

Gentle Cleaning: NO More Dirty Doll

Even the cutest Labubu loses its sparkle if dust builds up. Over time, tiny dirt particles can settle into seams or plush fibers, dulling the colors and damaging the material. Regular cleaning keeps your doll hygienic and helps preserve its original texture.

Start by brushing away dust with a soft makeup brush or mini vacuum nozzle. Then gently wipe its body using lukewarm water and mild baby shampoo, never hot water, which may deform the vinyl. Always air-dry in a shaded place; using a dryer or heater might cause the material to warp or shrink.

Tip: Schedule a light cleaning every 2–3 weeks during winter to prevent static buildup and dust attraction.

Stain Treatment: Prevent Permanent Damage

Ignoring small stains is one of the most common mistakes among collectors. Over time, oil or ink marks can chemically react with the vinyl and become impossible to remove.

If you notice a mark, use a soft cloth and a bit of benzoyl peroxide cream, this lifts surface stains without bleaching the surrounding color. Always test on a hidden area first and never leave the cream in direct sunlight too long, as it may cause uneven fading.

Regular inspection helps you act fast, the sooner you clean a stain, the better the results.

Hair & Plush Care: Restore the Fluff

One of Labubu’s cutest features is its soft, fluffy fur or hair. However, during dry winter months, static electricity and friction can flatten or tangle the fibers. If you skip maintenance, the plush may lose its bounce permanently.

To restore texture, lightly mist with water and brush gently using a toothbrush needle, or doll comb. Blow-dry on cool mode to add volume, avoid heat at all costs. You can even use a drop of fabric softener diluted in water for extra smoothness.

A few minutes of care makes a huge difference, your Labubu will look photo-ready again!

P.S.: Needle is the best tool to comb your Labubu dolls fluffy, if many readers want to get a how-to guide, we will make a video to show.

Proper Storage: Protect from Dust

Improper storage can undo all your cleaning efforts. Exposure to direct sunlight or extreme cold can fade colors and make the material brittle. If you store dolls in open air, dust can dull their features and ruin fine details.

Store your Labubu dolls upright in a cool, dry place, ideally in a transparent display box with ventilation holes. For long-term storage, wrap each in acid-free paper and keep them away from scented products or humidifiers.

Seasonal Tips:

Winter is also a great time to rotate your display, this helps prevent one side of the doll from fading or flattening. You can dress your doll in cozy outfits, but make sure fabrics are colorfast to avoid dye transfer.

If your collection includes limited editions or flocked-surface Labubus, store them in climate-controlled conditions between 15–25°C with low humidity.

Remember: a little winter care keeps your Labubu's smile bright for years to come.
